New investigation against Ferit Şenyaşar 2021-10-06 15:05:52 URFA - An investigation has been launched against Ferit Şenyaşar for his statement in which he said, "They are afraid of the palace". Emine Şenyaşar had lost her husband and two sons as the result of the attack carried out by AKP MP Halil İbrahim Yıldız, his guards, and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa.  She and her son who survived the attack injured had started a sit in on 9 March. The sit in is on its 212th day today. It was learned that an investigation was launched against Ferit Şenyaşar, for "insulting the President" for a former statement of his.   CALLED IN FOR A DEPOSITION   Ferit Şenyaşar, said that they will continue their struggle for justice. Şenyaşar stated that his mother could no longer endure this ordeal and that he wanted the massacre in Suruç State Hospital to be investigated. Stating that the prosecutor's have been 'cherry-picking their words and turn them into 'crimes', Şenyaşar said: "They want to remove us from this place. We were called in for a deposition today. They said we insulted the president."    INVESTIGATION   Şenyaşar said in an interview that he spoke about the AKP deputies and he was accused of 'insulting the president' because he said 'AKP MPs are afraid of the palace' and added, "I am asking to the public opinion today if they can see any insult in this sentence. We know they want us to end this sit in and leave this court house. We are determined. We will not leave here before justice is served. They should either kill us too or provide justice."
