Lawyers of Dedeoğulları: It has been proven with documents that it is a racist attack 2021-10-09 12:47:39   ANKARA- Attorney Abdurrahman Karabulut, who stated that "racist" correspondence was detected in the WhatsApp conversations of the family members who attacked the Dedeoğulları family, said, "The statements aimed at denying the racist attack as if they are the lawyer of the other side are completely useless."   The attack on the Dedeoğulları family, in which 7 people were killed on July 30 in Meram district of Konya, proved to be the result of racism. Lawyer Abdurrahman Karabulut, who examined the WhatsApp conversations of the family members that attacked Karaoğulları, noted that racist correspondence was detected.   Speaking to the Mesopotamia Agency (MA), Karabulut said, "We have detected many 'racist' correspondences in the suspects' WhatsApp messages, prison records and social media correspondence. Our claims are proven by the documents we have. With these evidences, no one can claim that the attack was not a racist attack."   'WE HAVE BEEN TELLING THE SAME THING FROM DAY ONE'   Reminding that they said from the beginning that the massacre was a racist attack, Karabulut said, “I was only saying this based on the claims of my clients. These claims were also present in the prosecution statement after the May 19 attack, right before the massacre. But these claims were constantly denied by the Minister of Interior, the governor's office and the Attorney General's office. In the first hours after the attack, the Minister of Interior said in his statements that the attack was not carried out with a racist motive. On the contrary, we have been telling the same thing from day one that the attack was carried out with a racist motive. In all of their WhatsApp correspondence, social media accounts, and correspondence with each other, they had racist statements towards my clients. Now, it is useless to insist that this was not a racist attack. We have documents to prove otherwise."   whether the Minister of Interior, the governor's office or the Attorney General, without knowing the incident, his statements to deny the racist attack as if he were the lawyer of the other side have been refuted. We have documents. No one can deny it from now on. If they deny it, I will send these documents to them as well.”   Karabulut, who did not provide information on the details of the meetings, said that they will hold a press conference on the developments within the week.
