Case against Demirtaş for 'insulting' Davutoğlu, postponed 2021-10-13 14:13:59 İSTANBUL- The hearing of the lawsuit filed against Selahattin Demirtaş for 'insulting' the then Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has been postponed.   The hearing of the lawsuit filed against Selahattin Demirtaş, the former Co-Chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) held in Edirne Prison, on the grounds of 'insulting' the Prime Minister of the time, Ahmet Davutoğlu during the curfew declared in Cizre in 2015 was held. Lawyers of Demirtaş attended the hearing at the Istanbul 47th Criminal Court of First Instance. Lawyers of Davutoğlu, on the other hand, did not appeat at court for the hearing.   Lawyers of Demirtaş requested additional time to review the report prepared by the experts on the group talks and press conferences. The court accepted the request for time and adjourned the hearing to 30 March 2022.
