Emine Şenyaşar summoned by the police to give her statement 2021-12-06 14:46:18 URFA - Emine Şenyaşar, who is staging a sit in for justice for her husband and two sons who were murdered in Urfa, was summoned by police to give a statement for the 10th time.   Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in an armed attack in Suruç district of Urfa on 14 June 2018, continues her fight for justice on its 273rd day. The woman holding a sit in for justice in front of the Urfa Courthouse is accompanied by her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack that involved AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives.   The family, who comes to the Urfa Courthouse from their house 42 kilometers away, started the sit in for the day.  After the family started the sit in, a police officer approached and stated that the mother Emine Şenyaşar would be questioned at the Provincial Security Directorate Security Branch on the grounds that she had "insulted a public officer" and that Şenyaşar should go to the police station during the day.   'THEY ARE TRYING TO INTIMIDATE US'   Speaking about his mother Emine Şenyaşar's being called for the 10th time to the police station for the same reason and the obstacles they faced during the Justice Watch, Ferit Şenyaşar said that the aim was to intimidate them and make them give up the sit in.   Expressing that the Justice Watch continues under “oppression,” Şenyaşar said, “It has almost been a year since we started the sit in. 3 people were killed with guns in Suruç State Hospital. This massacre was carried out in front of hundreds of public servants. 3 years and 6 months have passed since the incident, but no one's statement was even taken. However, my mother, who wanted justice, was summoned to testify for the 10th time today. Is this justice in Turkey?  Underlining that everyone who remains silent about what happened is a partner in crime, Şenyaşar said, “Political parties, especially bar associations, that remain silent are partners in this crime. There is an unlawfulness. A gang family is ruling Urfa. The family also tagged Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül on their Twitter account and said, "Anyone who does not react to this injustice at the courthouse is guilty. Prosecutors, who are afraid to summon those who murdered our family for a statement, are calling the mother for the 10th time. Abdülhamit Gül expressed that he felt sorry for the mother!”
