COD could not be determined in Gezer's preliminary autopsy report 2021-12-10 08:38:31   ISTANBUL- In the preliminary autopsy report of Garibe Gezer, who died suspiciously in Kandıra Prison, it was written that the cause of death (COD) could not be determined.   Garibe Gezer, who was being held in Kandıra No. 1 F Type Closed Prison and was systematically tortured, was found suspiciously dead in her cell. The prison administration called his family to report the situation of Gezer, who allegedly committed suicide at noon.   Lawyers of the Legal Aid Office Against Sexual Harassment and Rape and the Association for Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) set out to go to prison. The autopsy of Gezer, who was taken to Kocaeli Forensic Medicine Institute, was carried out in the absence the lawyers.   NO CAUSE OF DEATH IN PRELIMINARY REPORT   According to the information given by the lawyers, information about the cause of death was not included in the preliminary autopsy report of Gezer. The report stated that the cause of death could not be determined.   Human Rights Association (İHD) Co-Chair Eren Keskin, who shared  the fact that Gezer's autopsy was carried out without waiting for the lawyers, said, “The autopsy was finished while Att. Jiyan Tosun, Att. Veysi Eski, Att. Jiyan Kaya, Att. Elif Taşdöğen and Att. Beritan Kalbişen were going to the the prison to recieve the security camera footage and to observe the autopsy. The autopsy was carried out in the absence of the lawyers. These kinds of things did not happen even in the 1990's!"   Gezer's body will be taken from the hospital at 08:00 in the morning and taken to her hometown Mardin at 15:30.
