Şenyaşar family banned from writing on snow! 2022-01-19 13:33:50   URFA - Police who told it is forbidden to write on a wall in public space, intervened when Ferit Şenyaşar wrote "Day 317' on a wall covered with snow. Stating that this is an arbitrary ban, Şenyaşar reacted to the police.   Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, is on its 317th day. Coming from their house which is 42 kilometers away from the courthouse, Ferit Şenyaşar started the sit in for the day under snow while Emine Şenyaşar remained home due to her health issues. Ferit Şenyaşar arrived at the courthouse a little later than usual because he had a phonecall with Fadıl Şenyaşar who is being held in solitary confinement in Elazığ Prison for the last three years. Şenyaşar wrote Day 317 on a wall covered with snow which was intervened by the police.    Pointing out that the Justice Watch continues with the harassment of the police, Şenyaşar said: "Our sit-in continues on day 317. My mom had to stay at home because of the snow and her health issues. We said we will be here no matter the circumstances. We will go back home when we get justice."   From their Twitter account, Şenyaşar family shared the following message: "The truth is under the snow. The truth will come out tomorrow when the snow melts."
