EU countries and Russia send rescue teams to Turkey 2023-02-06 15:11:55   ISTANBUL- EU countries and Russia announced that search and rescue teams will be sent to Turkey due to the earthquake in 10 provinces, whose epicenters are Maraş and Gaziantep.   While two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7, whose epicenter is in the Pazarcık district of Maraş and 6.5, whose epicenter is Gaziantep, caused destruction in many cities of Kurdistan, the loss of life continues to increase. After the destruction, calls for support came from many countries, especially the USA, and these calls came from Janez Lenarcic, a member of the European Union (EU) Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management. Lenarcic announced that search and rescue teams will be sent to Turkey.   Stating that the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, in which Turkey is one of the participants, has been activated, Lenarcic shared the following message on his Twitter: "Search and rescue teams from the Netherlands and Romania are on their way right now."   RUSSIA: RESCUE TEAM IS READY TO SEND TO TURKEY   Stating that it was ready to help with the earthquake that occurred, Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations said: "2 Il-76 aircraft carrying a search and rescue team of 100 people are ready to be sent to Turkey due to the earthquake."
