In 2022, Korkmaz, who was transferred from Wan High Security Prison to Antalya High Security Prison against his will, was taken to Kepez Dental Diseases Hospital on 30 November 2024 due to dental disease. According to the information given by his family, Korkmaz, who refused to be treated with double handcuffs at the hospital, was insulted and subjected to violence by soldiers in the ring car.   VIOLATION OF RIGHT TO HEALTH   Korkmaz's mother Nevin Korkmaz stated that her son has many diseases including hearing, digestive and dental problems and emphasised that he should be treated. Nevin Korkmaz stated that the imposition of treatment with handcuffs is an obstacle to prisoners' right to health and said: "This practice is also against the Hippocratic Oath of doctors. Yet political prisoners are constantly subjected to this practice. No prisoner should be subjected to this, regardless of their offence. Prisoners are already in solitary confinement. They are completely isolated from each other and society. The society needs to speak out against all these practices. Prisoners both live in isolation and are deprived of their most basic rights."
