She also reacted against the detention of Ekrem İmamoğlu at Wan Newroz.    Newroz celebration in Wan (Van) continues with all enthusiasm. Addressing tens of thousands of people, Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party Co-chair Tülay Hatimoğulları condemned the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.    Pointing out the call of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is on the agenda she said, "Whiel we are doing this, they are carrying out operations in Istanbul today. The first operation was carried out against the Urban Consensus, in other words, they carried out an operation against the HDK. They said that the Kurd living in Istanbul cannot enter the administration there. Every Kurd living in Istanbul will take part in the administration of the municipality. We will take part despite you."   Tülay Hatimoğulları said that they support Abdullah Öcalan's call and added: "This call is the call of Kurdish and Turkish people for peace. This call is a call for the Kurdish people to get their rights. It is a call for a common life on the basis of everyone's right to equal citizenship. This call is the call of the worker, the labourer. This call is the call that will pave the way for us women who are massacred every day. This call is the call for opening the space of freedom for us women and the call for 'jin, jiyan, azadî (Woman, life, freedom)'. Women and youth should embrace this call the most. It is the duty of women and youth to organise a democratic society. This call is the call for the salvation of 85 million citizens."   Tülay Hatimoğulları reacts to trustee appointments. She said, "Mr Öcalan also mentioned the peoples in the Middle East in his call. Now Alawites and Durzis are being massacred in Syria. The only way out of Syria is a democratic republic. From here we address the government and the state mind; Mr Ocalan's call has received support from all over the world. The state must fulfil its duty and take steps. We say 'let the blood stop, let there be peace'. Blessed are those who want to establish peace."
