
Fire in Gabar spreads over a wide area

	ŞIRNEX – A forest fire that broke out in the wooded area of Mount Gabar has spread over a wide area due to strong winds.

	&nbsp;

	The fire started in the forested area near the village of Kayaboyun in the Gabar Mountain region of Şırnak. Fueled by the wind, the flames quickly spread. It was reported that workers of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), who are operating in the region, were caught in the middle of the fire.

	&nbsp;

	The workers stated that a water tanker was dispatched to the area where the fire broke out, but that water was only sprayed around the oil facilities.
