Three police officers die during DAESH operation

	NEWS CENTER – Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that three of the seven police officers injured during an operation against DAESH in Yalova have died.

	An armed clash broke out during an operation targeting DAESH in Yalova. Seven injured police officers were taken by ambulance to Yalova Training and Research Hospital. Education was suspended at schools in the area.

	 

	In a statement regarding the operation, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed that three of the injured officers lost their lives. Yerlikaya also stated that over the past month, 137 suspects were arrested in operations against DAESH, while 97 individuals were released under judicial control. He added that operations were carried out at 108 different addresses across 15 provinces, and that five women and six children were safely evacuated during the operation in Yalova.
