Protests in Iran continue on its 12th Day

NEWS CENTER – Protests against the regime in Iran and Rojhilat continue on its 12th day with a general strike. The demonstrations have spread to 31 cities, 111 districts, and 348 towns, with 45 universities announcing their support.
 
Protests that began on 28 December 2025 in Iran are continuing into their 12th day. Although regime forces are attempting to suppress public demands through violence, the protests are expanding day by day.
 
Images shared on digital media show Iranian regime forces using violence against civilians throughout the 12 days of protests. It is reported that demonstrators injured in the attacks have been unable to seek hospital treatment due to the threat of arrest.
 
The protests have spread across Iran and Rojhilat to 31 cities, 111 districts, and 348 towns. So far, 45 universities have declared their support for the demonstrations. According to reports from the region, security forces and the Revolutionary Guards have withdrawn from many cities in Iran and Rojhilat, while shops and public spaces have been closed.
 
Following yesterday’s call for a general strike, shop shutters remained closed in many cities.
 
MORE THAN 2 THOUSAND DETENTIONS
 
According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), during the 12 days of protests at least 34 demonstrators, including 5 children, have been killed, 2 thousand 217 people have been detained, and dozens of others injured.
 
It was reported that detainees’ statements are being taken under coercion and without the presence of lawyers, and these statements continue to be broadcast by Iranian state media as so-called “confessions.”
