NEWS CENTER - The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has declared mobilisation.
The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria ((DAANES) has declared mobilisation following attacks by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and paramilitary groups affiliated with Turkey.
The statament of SDF reads as follows: "The groups affiliated with the Transitional Government in Damascus that violated the agreement have been attacking our forces from multiple directions since yesterday morning. Despite efforts to find peaceful solutions and declarations of goodwill, including withdrawals from some areas, Damascus insists on war and the military option.
In this context, we call on our people to be prepared, to embrace the principle of self-defence, to rally around their military forces, to defend their cities, and to join the struggle to protect their dignity.
The aim of these attacks is to destroy the brotherhood and friendship that have grown through the blood of the children of this region. At the same time, they seek to spread discord and violence among the components of North and East Syria, to target Syria’s distinct components, and to impose a uniform structure on all others.
We are facing a critical moment: either we resist and live with dignity, or we are subjected to all forms of oppression and humiliation. In this context, we declare a general mobilization and call on our people to respond to this call and to support the SDF and the YPJ.
We call on all segments of our people, and especially young people, to take up arms and stand against possible attacks on the Jazira and Kobane regions. We must recognize that we are facing an existential war. There is only one option to protect the gains of our revolution and our identity: revolutionary popular resistance. We call on our people to unite around their forces, to stand together, and to be prepared against these ruthless attacks.
As a goodwill gesture toward the implementation of the March 10 agreement and in line with initiatives by international mediating forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) had decided to withdraw from Deir Hafir and Maskanah. Before the withdrawal process was completed, armed groups entered these towns and initiated clashes. Following Deir Hafir and Maskanah, the groups advanced toward the Tabqa front and, since yesterday, have carried out intense attacks along the Tabqa, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Tishreen lines.
The SDF, YPJ, and Internal Security Forces responded forcefully to the attacks, inflicting heavy losses on the armed groups.
As intense clashes continue across the region, the Autonomous Administration announced that a general mobilization has been declared throughout the area.
