SDF: What happened south of Kobani is individual, unacceptable act

NEWS CENTER - SDF announced that a fighter who recorded video footage of the bodies of HTS members killed in clashes has been dismissed and referred to a military court. 

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) made a statement regarding the video recording of the funerals of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) members killed in clashes south of Kobanê. The statement indicated that the fighter who filmed the footage in question had been dismissed.
 
The SDF Media Center published an official clarification regarding what has recently circulated about a fighter filming himself next to armed men killed south of Kobani. The statement said: “Our leadership is closely following what has recently circulated regarding a fighter filming himself next to armed men who were killed while repelling an attack by Damascus factions on the village of ‘Kharous’ south of Kobani.
 
In line with our commitment to military and ethical values, the fighter was immediately dismissed from the ranks of the forces and referred to the military court to take the necessary legal measures.
 
We affirm that this behavior is individual and unacceptable, and does not reflect the principles of our forces, which are known for their respect for humanitarian standards and codes of conduct, including respect for the sanctity of the dead. We also reaffirm our continued fulfillment of our duties in accordance with the values for which we are known.”
