Aid campaign in Şirnex for Rojava

ŞIRNEX - An aid campaign has been launched in Şirnex to show solidarity with Rojava. 
 
A humanitarian aid campaign has been launched in Şirnex (Şırnak) to show solidarity with Rojava, spearheaded by the Şirnex branch of the Turkish General Services Workers' Union (Genel-İş), affiliated with the Revolutionary Workers' Unions Confederation (DİSK). 
 
A press conference was held at the union’s Şirnex branch regarding the campaign. Representatives of political parties and democratic mass organisations attended the meeting. 
 
Siyajin Burumtekin, Co-Chair of the Şirnex Branch of Genel-İş, drew attention to the ongoing blockade of Rojava and noted that the people of Rojava are struggling to survive in conditions that violate human dignity. He called for solidarity with the people of Turkey and Kurdistan.
