According to the statement made by the Ninova Forensic Medicine Institute, mass graves belonging to 11 people were found in Shengal and its surrounding areas. It was stated that the grave belongs to Êzidîs who were killed during the ISIS attacks against Shengal in 2014. To date, 85 mass graves of Êzidîs have been found in Shengal and its surroundings.
