DÊRSIM – Co-mayors of Dersîm reacted to appointment of trustee. Co-mayors call people to struggle.

Trustees were appointed to the municipalities of Dêrsim (Tunceli), governed by the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), and Pulur (Ovacık), governed by the Republican People's Party (CHP). Citizens who were on guard at Dêrsim Municipality were taken out of the municipality. The wait in front of the municipality continues.

'THIS IS THE PICTURE OF AKP-MHP'

Speaking in front of the municipality, Co-mayor Cevdet Konak stated that the police wanted to make him sign the notification by blocking traffic. Konak said: “The people of Dersim gave us this authority. By blocking the traffic with vehicles, they occupied the road and committed the biggest corruption.”
Stating that when he was leaving the municipality, the roads were blocked with police officers and he was given the notification by the police officers, “I asked why you blocked the road and occupied it. They told me, ‘There is a notification from the ministry, sign it’.  I didn't sign it. They occupied the city. This is the picture of AKP-MHP. This is the usurpation of will,” he said.

Addressing the people waiting in front of the municipality, Dêrsim Co-mayor Birsen Orhan pointed at the police and said: “These are occupiers. Just as they occupied Dêrsim in 1938, they occupied our municipalities today. Do not follow them. Let's fight together.”

PEOPLE RESISTING

The people of Dêrsim also flocked in front of the municipality building. The police barricades were stormed by the people, who chanted slogans such as “Get out of Dêrsim, occupying forces”. Speaking here, DEM Party Dêrsim MP Ayten Kordu said: “A trustee has been appointed against the will of the people in the municipality. We will not accept the trustee. We will never obey”.

The masses continue to gather in front of the municipality with the slogans “We will win if we resist” and continue to react against the appointed trustee.
