The 13th Sakine Cansız Women's Festival will take place in the Swiss city of Zurich on Sunday, 28 June. The festival, to be led by the Swiss Kurdish Women's Union (YJK-S), will be supported by more than 20 women's organizations and initiatives, including the Feminist Women's Strike (Frauenstreik) and the women's structures of the Socialist Party and the Greens. 

 

Preparations are ongoing for the festival, which will be held at Zurich's Kasernenareal venue at 11:00 under the slogan "Now is Women's Time."

 

At the festival artists Ayfer Düzdaş, Nûbun, Naze Azizi, Eylül Nazlıler, Berfin Demir, Nûarîn, Koma Stranan a Jinan (Hunera Mizgîn Swîsre), the Swiss Folklore ensemble, a local dance group, Koma Erbane, as well as a Dengbêj tent and Children’s Choir, will take to the stage.
