Elçioğlu who lost her husband in Kobanê resistance: Turkey's attacks must be stopped 2022-12-04 10:00:52   ŞIRNAK - Aynur Elçioğlu, who lost her husband in the resistance for the liberation of Kobanê, condemned Turkey's attacks and said, "Turkey's attacks must be stopped."   On the night of November 19, Turkey attacked Northern and Eastern Syria and some parts of the Federated Kurdistan Region simultaneously from the air. More than 11 civilians, including Hawar News Agency (ANHA) reporter Isam Abdullah, were killed in the attacks. While Turkey's attacks on Kobanê, Shehba, Girê Spî, Zirgan and Derik continue, Kobanê, which has a historical importance for the Kurds, was targeted by ISIS in 2014, and today it is being targeted by Turkey.   When ISIS attacked Kobanê in 2014, thousands of people went to Urfa and started a sit-in at the border. Many people crossed the border fences and crossed into Kobanê and fought against ISIS. One of those who crossed the border fences and went to Kobanê was Abdullah Elçioğlu (36), father of 5.   Aynur Elçioğlu, wife of Abdullah Elçioğlu, who lost his life in a conflict on August 2, 2014, condemned the attack on Kobanê. Elçioğlu said, “A person's land is their faith. That is why we must protect our land.”   'HE RUSHED TO THE HELP OF THE CHILDREN OF KOBANÊ'    Stating that her husband crossed the borders to rush to the help of the children of Kobanê, Aynur Elçioğlu said: "We were watching the news. Children and elderly were being slaughtered. Those who survived the attacks died of starvation and thirst. My husband wanted to go help. But we didn't know he made up his mind. The was effected by those videos. He was a father of 5. But he went there anyway. He made this choice for his conscience. He died there defending those children. 2 years after the diedü we have gone through the same thing in Cizre. It was just like Syria. We were left in the middle of war."   'ATTACKS MUST BE STOPPED'   Stating that the attacks can only be stopped with the unity of Kurds, Elçioğlu said: "Why are they attacking Kobanê? What did the people of Kobanê do? They attack randomly to schools, hospitals and parks. We do not want a new attack on Kobanê. We can't sleep. We have had enough of death and tears. We must unite and stand against these attacks. The whole world must put a stop to these attacks. The world should not remain silent. Kurds must unite against these attacks."
