Istanbul Chief Prosecutor files request to Supreme Court to close down CHP

	NEWS CENTER – The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has submitted a request to the Supreme Court to initiate proceedings for the closure of the Republican People’s Party (CHP).

	Following the announcement of its indictment concerning the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), the prosecutor’s office notified the Supreme Court of its application to open a closure case against the CHP under Article 69 of the Turkish Constitution.
