Kobanê under siege for 22 days 2026-02-10 11:26:55   NEWS CENTER - The siege imposed on Kobanê (Kobani, Syria) by groups affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government continues into its 22nd day. Humanitarian and living conditions are deteriorating day by day.   Despite negotiations aimed at implementing the agreement reached between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Damascus on 29 January and announced on 30 January, Kobanê has been under siege for 22 days.   The humanitarian situation in Kobanê is worsening due to the siege. Medicines, baby formula, food and basic necessities are seriously depleted, and the living conditions of approximately 600,000 people, including those displaced, are becoming more difficult by the day.   The Kobanê Electricity Authority has repaired cables damaged by attacks and restored service. Despite the heavy siege, more than 200,000 forcibly displaced citizens have been settled at 70 different locations in Kobanê.   The people of Kobanê continue their resistance against the siege.
