NEWS CENTER - NÛÇE TV, a Kurdish-language television channel in Bakur (North Kurdistan, Turkey), has officially begun broadcasting.
NÛÇE TV launched its broadcasts on 15 May, celebrated as Kurdish Language Day. Two days earlier, the channel had announced via virtual media that it would begin airing on Kurdish Language Day. The announcement included the phrase: “A new screen, a new journey."
Today, the channel confirmed the start of its broadcasts with the words, “Me destpê kir... Pîroz be (We have begun... Congratulations).”
NÛÇE TV will broadcast via two satellites. The channel’s satellite frequencies are as follows: “Nilesat: 12687 H 27500, Hotbird: 11296 H 27500.”
