ANKARA - The bill prepared as part of the Peace and Democratic Society Process and approved by a majority vote in Parliament’s Justice Committee will be put before the General Assembly tomorrow.

 

The 12-article bill, titled the “Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration” and prepared as part of the Peace and Democratic Society Process, is due to be debated in Parliament’s General Assembly at 11 a.m. on Monday (Tomorrow). The bill was submitted to the Parliament Speaker’s Office on August 5 with the signatures of 367 lawmakers and was taken up by the Justice Committee two days later. After an 18-hour session, the committee approved the bill by a majority vote. It is expected to pass the General Assembly by the same majority.
