FEMENA: Taliban abducted 17 women in 5 days

NEWS CENTER - FEMENA stated that 17 women have been abducted by the Taliban in Herat over the past five days, saying that abductions targeting women continue. 
 
FEMENA issued a statement on its social media account regarding the Taliban’s repression of women. The statement revealed that 17 women have been abducted by the Taliban in Herat alone over the past five days.
 
The statement said: “According to sources, 17 women were abducted in the past five days from Leilani Bazaar area, Gerdavaz (Ghor Darvaz), and the Almas-e Sharq Trading Complex. Sources emphasized that the women were wearing hijab and burqas, but women morality officers checked the clothing under their burqas and took them away on various pretexts.”
