NEWS CENTER – Rivar Abdanan, a member of the Leadership Council of the PJAK, has called for support for university students who have launched protest actions, saying they “deserve support as pillars protecting the dignity and freedom of society.”
Rivar Abdanan, a member of the Leadership Council of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), made the remarks in an interview with Aryan TV, addressing the strike initiated by university students. “Students have shown that they are neither obedient nor people who can be subdued. They have not surrendered their free will to self-declared ‘leaders’ or masters. This renewed uprising at universities has demonstrated that, despite massacres and severe repression carried out by regime forces, Iranian society has not retreated,” he said.
Abdanan added that by raising what he described as correct and progressive slogans, students had presented a clear vision for the people’s struggle and for Iran’s future and said: “This revolutionary and courageous stance once again shows that universities are fundamental institutions defending the dignity and freedom of society. For this reason, university students deserve support as pillars safeguarding society’s honour and freedom."
MONARCHISTS ARE DISTORTING REALITY
Abdanan continued by saying that the nationwide movement in Iran has persisted despite “pain and losses,” and that universities have played a significant role in the broader social mobilisation. He said slogans such as “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî (Woman, Life, Freedom)", “Neither Shah nor Leader,” “Neither monarchy nor supreme leadership,” and “Freedom and equality” reflect what he called the most progressive demands of the movement.
Abdanan stated that these slogans stand in opposition to monarchist, reactionary and sexist ideologies. He also accused pro-monarchy groups of attempting to distort the people’s struggle, adding that Iranian universities can continue to serve as a strong pillar in the fight for freedom and democracy.
