Amara ready to celebrate birthday of Abdullah Ocalan

RIHA – The house in the Amara neighbourhood, where Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan was born, is awaiting citizens.
 
The festival, launched under the slogan “Towards Democratic National Unity with a Free Leadership” to mark the 77th birthday of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, is now in its fourth day. 
 
Citizens gathering at 4 April Park in Riha’s Xelfetî (Halfeti) district will march to the Erax neighbourhood and from there to the Amara neighbourhood, where Abdullah Öcalan was born. 
 
Preparations have also been finalised ahead of the programme to be held at the house in Amara where Abdullah Öcalan was born. Whilst a stage is being set up in the courtyard of the house, the area has been decorated with banners, pictures and placards featuring photographs of Abdullah Öcalan. 
 
As part of the programme, the group “Koma Govendê Ya Jinan” will perform, followed by a video screening. Speeches will also be delivered during the programme.
