Iranian pensioners take to the streets: War and negotiations are excuses; our poverty is real

NEWS CENTER -  Pensioners took to the streets in several cities across Iran to protest poverty and inflation.
 
Iran’s long-running economic crisis has deepened further amid the war between the United States and Israel. Pensioners are among the groups most affected by the crisis. Taking to the streets in several cities, including Kermanshah, Ahvaz, and Shush, they protested against inflation, the rising cost of living and worsening economic conditions. 
 
PENSIONERS ALSO CALL FOR RELEASE OF PROTESTERS 
 
Calling for the release of prisoners in Iran, the pensioners chanted slogans including, “War and negotiations are excuses; our lives are the real measure,” “no to inflation and high prices, no to war and destruction,” and “imprisoned protesters, imprisoned workers, imprisoned teachers, they all must be released.”
