DİYARBAKIR - Police raiding the house of Faris Türk in Kayapınar district of Diyarbakır, busted the doors and made the police dogs attack the family members.
A raid was made to the home of a citizen named Faris Türk in the Kayapınar district of Diyarbakır. It was stated that the police, who broke the door of the house at 05:00 in the morning, attacked the family members with dogs. According to the information obtained, the police attacked Faris and his wife Hanım Türk with a dog and battered them. The residents of the building woke up with the screams of two children of the Türk family, who were experiencing fearful moments due to the police raid and the dog attack.
Police detained Faris Türk after a search with dogs in the house. It was stated that some books were seized in the raid. It was also learned that the Türk who was detained was taken to the Diyarbakır Police Department TEM Branch. According to the information obtained, more houses were raided in the city and scores of people were detained.

Sevil Rojbin Çetin, a member of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Democratic Local Authorities Board and the Free Women's Movement (TJA), was subjected to torture via police dogs.
Meltem Çağır (30), who lives in the Fırat District of Kayapınar, was also detained in the raid on her home.
