URFA -  Urfa Governor Salih Ayhan banned the yard of the courthouse, where the Şenyaşar family had been carrying out the Justice Watch for a while due to the heat.

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 518. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. The family came to the courthouse early in the morning from their house in Suruç, 42 kilometers away from the courthouse.

The police prevented the mother and son who wanted to start the sit-in on the stairs at the entrance of the Urfa Courthouse. The police, who did not let the family enter the yard of the courthouse and said, "It is forbidden to do demonstrations in front of public buildings with the instruction of the Urfa Governor's Office." Emine Şenyaşar said: "Go arrest the killers instead of blocking us. They are walking free in Suruç at about now."

'THOSE WHO SLAUGHTERED OUR FAMILY IS AMONG THE PEOPLE, LIVING FREELY'

Protesting the ban, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "The Justice Watch continues on its 518th day. Everyone in Turkey knows this including the President, the Minister of Justice and the people of Urfa. Three people from our family were killed 4 years ago. More than 50 people were involved in the massacre and they are walking free. And the Governor bans us from entering the courthouse. He hears the cries of my mother everyday. He should come ask her why she is crying."

'100 COPS ARE WAITING OVER THERE TO DETAIN US'

Stating that he tried to get an appointment from Urfa Governor Salih Ayhan but could not get a response, Şenyaşar said: "Instead of speaking to us, they put barriers in front uf us to keep us from entering the territory of the courthouse. They will apologise to this mother one day. End this persecution before it is too late. We just want them to apply the law, nothing more."

'BARRICADES IN FRONT OF A MOTHER DEMANDING JUSTICE'

Tagging AKP's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Urfa Governor Salih Ayhan with a video of Emine Şenyaşar wailing for her lost family members and shared the following message from Twitter: "Urfa Governor Salih Ayhan is knocking on every door in Urfa, listening to the problems of the people. They hear the cries of this mother everyday and he set up barricades to keep this mother from entering the courthouse. He gave instructions to the police to stop her from entering."
