The prosecutor will give his opinion regarding the case against Kulp Municipality Co-mayors

DİYARBAKIR- The prosecutor will give his opinion in the case of Kulp Municipality Co-Mayor Fatih Taş and Fatma Ay, whose trials are being carried out in connection with the bomb attack that killed 7 people in Kulp.
 
The hearing of the case, opened in Diyarbakır 9th High Criminal Court about Kulp Municipality Co-Mayors Mehmet Fatih Taş and Fatma Ay and HDP District Co-Chairs Mehmet Abidin Karaman, Kulp Municipality Science Affairs Director Şener Aktaş, who were arrested after being dismissed due to an explosion in Ağaçkorur village in Diyarbakır's Kulp district on September 12, 2019, Mehmet Emin Ay, whose mayoral candidacy from HDP was rejected by the Supreme Election Board, Kulp City Council Member Yücel Çete, construction equipment operators Ümit Fidan and Kenan Barut on "on purpose killing", "Disrupting the unity and integrity of the state" and "Fire, flooding, destruction, immersion, bombing or using nuclear, biological, killing with chemical weapons, was held.  
 
While none of the defendants attended the hearing, except for Kenan Barut, the lawyers of the defendants were present at the hearing. Kenan Barut stated that he had nothing to do with the explosion and demanded his release and acquittal.
 
The prosecution requested that the continuation of Barut's detention be decided and that the file be submitted to him in order to prepare his opinion.
 
The lawyers of the defendants stated that they will make a defense after the opinion on the merits.
 
The court decided that the continuation of Barut's detention and that the file be submitted to the prosecution to give his opinion, adjourned the hearing to December 12.
