The popular uprising that started after the murder of Jîna Emini in Iran continues on its 56th day. Last night, demonstrations were held in many cities and commemorations were held for those killed in the protests. Young people and women expressed their reactions with different actions in Sine, Mahabad, Bokan, Kamyaran and many more regions of Rojhilat. Expressing their condemnation against the government, the youth lit fires in the streets and shouted "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî".
DEMONSTRATION IS SPREADİNG
A great protest was held in Bêwrani village of Serdeşt district due to the murder of a citizen named Hemin Hemze. After Hemin's remains were laid to rest with slogans, a protest demonstration was held. Sam Biranwend's body was laid to rest in Xuremawa, Loristan. Protest demonstrations began after the regime forces fired on the crowd attending the ceremony. Demonstrations were also held in the cities of Zahidan, Rask, Wêranşar, Xaş, Pişin, Sarawan and Chabehar in Balochistan.
'JIN JIYAN AZADI'
The regime forces tried to suppress the protests with violent attacks in many cities of Balochistan. Protests were also held after the fortieth day commemoration of the 17-year-old boy named İhsan Xan Mihmedi was held in Tehran. Activists wrote “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” on the walls.
AT LEAST 775 PEOPLE WERE DETAINED
The Kurdistan Human Rights Organisation (KMMK) announced yesterday the 55-day balance sheet of the Iranian government's human rights violations against demonstrators in Eastern Kurdistan and announced that at least 775 people, 130 of whom were women, were detained during the protests.
