NEWS CENTER - Stating that Russia and the Damascus government calculated to win in the attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria, Journalist Ali Kasım said: “However, there is a unity that will bring victory against the attacks. People who endure the attacks take their place in the ranks in a possible ground operation."

The new attacks launched by Turkey on November 20 against the cities of Northern and Eastern Syria continue uninterruptedly. Some schools, hospitals and infrastructure were damaged due to the attacks, which entered its 16th day. President of the AKP, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at a rally in the border city of Riha on December 3, reiterated the threat of a "ground operation" against Northern and Eastern Syria. Mazlum Ebdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), responded to the threats with the words, "The international community should immediately take concrete steps to prevent the Turkish invasion. Our people are still here, we have resisted alone many times before. We will resist again if necessary." . Journalist Ali Kasım, who closely follows the developments in the region, evaluated the events.

PURPOSE OF ATTACKS

Stating that the AKP-MHP wants to prolong its life in the upcoming elections and that this is one of the reasons behind the attacks, Kasım said: "The agenda of chemical weapons used in the Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region and the images published about the clashes were also sought to be covered. The inhuman war has been exposed in the past months. The situation became discussed in the press, public opinion and international organisations. While everyone was waiting for an explanation, Turkey imprisoned journalists and scientists who voiced this issue. They could not get out of the situation, the state saw the issue as doing what it knew best: A quick and simple Taksim attack prepared for this. The names of SDF, YPG and PYD would be written on the news, which would both process the Kurdish genocide plans and open a breathing tube to the constrictions caused by the use of chemical weapons."

ACCOUNT OF SYRIA AND RUSSIA

Stating that the Syrian regime suffered the heaviest loss in Turkey's attack, Kasım said: "Despite this, the regime did not show a clear and correct attitude. The Syrian government wants to take a place in the Autonomous Administration areas by taking advantage of the regional power balances, including Russia, from these attacks. It is trying to present it as a threat to the Autonomous Administration through Russia. The meetings were held. In each meeting, it was imposed to place the Syrian army in areas 30 kilometers from the border region of the Autonomous Administration through Russia. The Russia also wants the Syrian government to win, destroy the Kurdish gains and narrow the dominance of the US-led coalition forces."

USA'S ROJAVA PLANS

Stating that the presence and role of the USA in the region were also misinterpreted by the public, Kasım said: "Interpreting the US presence in the region as aid or partnership with the Kurdish people will lead the region to great darkness and empty hopes. It will drag the region into a great darkness and empty hopes. The USA did this yesterday, it does it today, it will do it tomorrow. The reason for being here includes long-term strategic planning. Israel's defense comes first in those plans. The Shiite and Hezbollah forces developing in the region, Israel is threatening its existence. The presence of the USA is not to leave Israel alone and to be a force against Russia's plans to dominate the Middle East through the Syrian government. It is inevitable that it will bring NATO ally Turkey into the region whenever it thinks that there will be a threat to these plans. The anti-ISIS partnership NATO developed with Kurdish forces after the 2015 Kobanê process is only short-term tactical planning."

PEOPLE'S STANCE

Stating that the administration organised in line with the "democratic nation" paradigm in Northern and Eastern Syria will be the winner against all possible attacks, Kasım said: "After the war on the field and the field against ISIS ended, people started their duty of community building. Equal citizenship, the participation of all people in the administration, the military councils and the construction of communes have become an ideological force that will defeat all armed forces. It is this unity that will bring victory against the attacks. In the intense attacks that have finished their second week and are still continuing, the people left their homes and lands, the values they created with great effort and cost. When the Syrian war is mentioned, the first thing perceived in the whole world was the immigrants who left their lands. This community of peoples, which is based on these attacks and resolutely recognises their enemy, will also take their place in the ranks in a possible ground operation. The Kurds have been waging a relentless struggle against all attacks, especially in the last 50 years. The Rojava Revolution is slowly taking on the identity of victory. It creates this by influencing the peoples of the Middle East, drawing them in and fighting together. This process is the most distinctive feature that will result in a definitive victory. Perhaps for the first time, the history of Kurdistan will witness a freedom in which the 'Revolutionary People's War' strategy determined by Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is victorious."
