NEWS CENTER – Editors who were detained by KDP forces wrote about the fate of Süleyman Ahmet: "It's been 44 days: Where is Süleyman Ahmet?" Continuing to ask, Rojnews held KDP responsible for Ahmet's life and security.

There has been no news for 44 days from Süleyman Ahmet, the Arabic service editor of Rojnews, who was detained by KDP forces at the Pêşxabûr (Sêmalka) Border Gate while returning to the Federated Kurdistan Region from Northern and Eastern Syria, where he went to visit his family, on October 25.

In the statement made by Duhok Public Order, affiliated with KDP, 6 days after his detention, allegations were made that Ahmet had nothing to do with journalism.

IT WAS LEARNED THAT AHMET WAS IN THE HANDS OF PARASTIN

Neriman Ahmet, one of Süleyman Ahmet's lawyers, said that the Duhok Public Order prevented them from meeting with their client on the grounds that the investigation was continuing, and that they learned that the file was under the control of KDP's intelligence agency, Parastin.

Although the Süleyman Ahmet Defense Group, formed by lawyers, has made more than 10 applications so far, they have not been allowed to meet with Süleyman Ahmet, and no information about Ahmet has been shared by KDP officials.

Continuing to ask about the fate of its editors, who have not been heard from for 44 days, Rojnews held KDP responsible for the life and security of Süleyman Ahmet.

'WHERE IS JOURNALIST SÜLEYMAN  AHMET?'

The agency published a video titled "It's been 44 days: Where is journalist Süleyman Ahmet?" He made the following statement in the news titled: "We condemn the unlawful kidnapping of Süleyman Ahmet, who has been working as an editor in our agency's Arabic service for 5 years, and we want the public to be informed about his fate as soon as possible and our friend to be released. Despite all the applications of the lawyers, Süleyman Ahmet's whereabouts are not stated and he is not allowed to meet with anyone. KDP is responsible for the life and safety of our editor Süleyman Ahmet."
