At least 75 people were detained during the protests that started yesterday against the appointment of a trustee to Êlih (Batman) Municipality under the administration of Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party). The police used violence against the detainees and they are still being processed.
Gürcan Turşak, who was beaten and detained during the trustee protests in Adana yesterday, was released at night after statement procedures. It is learned that IHD Adana Branch will file a criminal complaint against the police officers who used violence against Turşak.
HOUSE RAIDS IN XELFETÎ
Many people were detained during house raids in Xelfetî (Halfeti) district of Riha (Urfa). Some of the names held at the District Security Directorate are as follows: “Adle Fidan, Muhammet Algaç, Elif Yalçın, Berivan Kocaoğlu, Yusuf Yeşiltepe, Gürkan Göktaş, Seve Yalçınkaya and Musa Yalçınkaya.”
It was stated that the number of detentions may increase.

9 people were detained during house raids in Mêrdîn (Mardin). The reason for the detentions is unknown and 9 people were taken to the Provincial Security Directorate.
