ANKARA - DEM Party and CHP MPs unfurled banners reading “Trusteeship is a coup against the will of the people” at the Parliament's Plan and Budget Commission.
Parliament's Plan and Budget Committee began discussions on the Youth and Sports Ministry's 2025 budget with a trustee protest. The talks on the 2025 budget of the Ministry of Youth and Sports started with a trustee protest by the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and the Republican People's Party (CHP). CHP and DEM Party MPs placed banners in front of their desks reading “Trusteeship is a coup against the will of the people”, “No to the trustee budget”, “The ballot box cleans, not the trustee”.
During the budget discussion, CHP and DEM Party MPs demanded a procedural debate before the presentation of Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak.
CHP and DEM Party members continued to make speeches criticizing the trusteeship.
