NEWS CENTRE - KNK Co-Chairs stated that the solution to the crisis in the Middle East lies in Abdullah Öcalan's road map and said, "The struggle for a meeting with Mr Öcalan needs to be increased."

The isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imrali Type F High Security Closed Prison continues. DEM Party Urfa MP Ömer Öcalan visited his uncle Abdullah Öcalan on 23 October as part of a family meeting.

Despite the time that has passed, the applications made by the family, lawyers, DEM Party Co-Chairs and foreign delegations to meet with Abdullah Öcalan have not been responded to.

While the isolation continues, the crisis of the 3rd World War, which started in the Middle East, is growing day by day and spreading to new areas and regions. Abdullah Öcalan frequently drew attention to World War III in his defence speeches years ago and called for a solution to the Kurdish issue through dialogue and negotiation.

While all these developments were taking place, HTS and the paramilitary groups supported by Turkey launched an attack on Syria and Northern and Eastern Syria. Parallel to HTS's attack on Aleppo, Turkey and the paramilitary groups it supports also attacked Shahba and Til Rifat, where more than 200 thousand people live. In recent days, these groups have intensified their attacks on Manbij.

Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) Co-Chairs Ahmet Karamus and Zeyneb Murad made evaluations on the ongoing isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the latest developments in Northern and Eastern Syria.

'THEY ARE NOT SINCERE'

Drawing attention to AKP Chair and President Tayyip Erdoğan's statements on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli, Karamus said: "In order for us to evaulate or interpret this process as a solution process, some steps need to be taken. Although Mr Abdullah Öcalan is mentioned as the interlocutor of the solution, we cannot say that this process has been fully impelemented. The actions, plans, concepts and attacks of the occupying state, the interlocutor of the process and the solution, show that they are not sincere in their statements. Serious steps are not being taken towards the solution of the Kurdish issue thorugh political and peaceful means. Kurdish issue is linked to the war crisis in the Middle East. Kurdish issue is in the picture of the war in the North & East of Syria today."

ANNEXATION PLANS

Developments in North & East Syria are steps towards the "annexation" of Kurdistan said Karamus and added: "We cannot evaluate the developments in North & East Syria, including the occupation of Aleppo, independently. The developments in Syria show us that there is a plan and strategy that has been negotiated for months. The FSA, which was previously under the control of the Turkish state and Turkish intelligence, cannot act alone. These armed groups are managed by the Turkish state. Some Arab states are also involved in this concept. Bahçeli's statements and these plans for Syria are connected. On their agenda is the liquidation, elimination, demographic change and annexation of Rojava Kurdistan and parts of Southern Kurdistan. Undoubtedly, they are in a similar co-operation with other forces. The Turkish state wants to tighten its Misak-i Milli (National Pact) by occupying a large part of Southern Kurdistan from Afrin to Aleppo and all of Rojava Kurdistan, including Kirkuk, Mosul and Shengal. Thus, it wants to have a bigger role in the Middle East."

Stating that the recent developments are related to the Greater Middle East project, "There seems to be an alliance between HTS and FSA. This is not a new process. It is a pre-planned and prepared process. It is the preparation of the Greater Middle East project, which has been on the agenda since the 90s. They are trying to make all events and developments in the region serve this project. Hezbollah is also a part of this project. Britain is the mastermind and executor of this project. America's silence against these developments is not a coincidence. We understand from Erdoğan's speeches that this concept was prepared in advance," said Karamus.

'MORE EFFORTS MUST BE MADE'

Emphasising the importance of a meeting with Abdullah Öcalan in such a process, Karamus said: "Öcalan's paradigm and his analyses of the Middle East are important and valuable. Mr Öcalan's determinations about the future are very strong. We know that Mr Öcalan foresaw and analysed what is currently happening in the Middle East. Therefore, it is essential to have a meeting with him while these developments are taking place. His assessments and suggestions will be very important. For this reason, more effort must be made to meet with Mr Öcalan."

'THE SECOND LAUSANNE IS BEING REPEATED'

Drawing attention to the danger to Kurdistan's gains, Karamus said: "This attack is directed against the model of coexistence established by the Autonomous Administration in Rojava. If international powers continue to remain silent against Turkey, there is a danger that the region will be under the control of the Turkish state and the demography of the region will change. We should not only look at this as an ideological or political attack, but also as an attack of annihilation. If we do not act responsibly, we will experience the second Lausanne in the 21st century. But the second Lausanne will not be the same as the first. There will be nothing left for the Kurds. It is everyone's responsibility that the Kurdish people are not part of this occupation. We hope that every Kurdish party and institution will act with sensitivity. This means protecting the Kurdish language, Kurdish identity and the Kurdish nation. We need to put aside our personal interests and act responsibly towards the people of Kurdistan."

ZEYNEB MURAD: NEW PLANS ARE BEING MADE

KNK Co-Chair Zeyneb Murad said: "There are plans by hegemonic powers to redesign the Middle East geography. What is happening in the Middle East is a part of this plan. The main aim of the Turks, apart from the dream of renewing the Ottoman state and realising the national plan, is to destroy the Kurdish people. The Turkish state also has a role in the international plan. It is known that Turkey emphasises 82 provinces, one of which includes the province of Mosul, and therefore plans to occupy Mosul, Shengal and Kirkuk. Against these attacks, threats and attacks against Shengal and Southern Kurdistan in general continue day by day. Kurdish political parties should approach this situation with great sensitivity. There is a big plan against the Kurdish people. Therefore, unity is needed. Our people need to organise themselves all over Kurdistan and the world, strengthen their self-defence and prevent the occupation."

Referring to Bahçeli's statements, Zeyneb Murad said that the discourses are not the same in words and practice. "The Turkish state is leading the process with a policy of deception. They show themselves as if they are making efforts to solve the Kurdish issue in the country. But at the same time they are attacking Kurds everywhere. For this reason, their calls for talks with Mr Öcalan are not sincere. Because the isolation on Mr Öcalan continues. In order to call it a solution and for us to believe that they are sincere for a solution, steps must be taken on legal grounds," she said.

'THERE IS A NEED FOR MR ÖCALAN'S VIEWS'

Emphasising the role and mission of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan in the solution of the problems in the Middle East, Zeyneb Murad said: "Not only the Kurdish people but the whole world knows that the Kurds have a solution project. The solution to these crises lies in the paradigm and philosophy put forward by Mr Öcalan. We see that many prominent personalities and politicians are participating in the nationwide campaign for Mr Öcalan's physical freedom, which is expanding day by day. This is proof that everyone now believes in Mr Öcalan's role and mission in the solution. Opening the doors of İmralı will change the fate of the Middle East. Because this process is dangerous not only for Kurds but also for the whole world."

'SPIRIT OF KOBANÊ'

Calling on Kurds and the peoples of the world, Zeynep Murad continued as follows: "All Kurds and Kurdistanis and Kurdish friends should carefully follow this situation and take a stand. The danger is not only for Rojava Kurdistan, it is a great danger for the whole of Kurdistan. We call on all Kurds and Kurdistanis to take a stand with the spirit of Kobanê, all relevant forces and world public opinion to stop the attacks of the Turkish state and its affiliated forces and to stand by the Autonomous Administration of North & East."
