NEWS CENTER - Many cities in Turkey protested against the Turkish and SNA attacks on North and East Syria.

The ongoing attacks of Turkey and its paramilitary group SNA against North and East Syria were protested in many cities.

ADANA

Adana Provincial Organization of Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) protested the attacks with a statement in front of the party building. Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye and Hatay DEM Party provincial co-chairs, representatives of political parties and civil society organisations in Adana and many people attended the statement.

'WE WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT'

DEM Party Adana Provincial Co-Chair Seyfettin Aydemir emphasised that the construction of a democratic and free life has a historical importance for the peoples of Syria and the Middle East. Aydemir condemned the attacks of Turkey and the SNA, the paramilitary group guided by Turkey, against North and East Syria and said: "However, it is clear that the political power in Turkey and the powers in the region, especially the political power in Turkey, covet the gains that the Kurds have achieved at great cost. The deepening of the attacks on Manbij in particular is an indication that Rojava is once again being targeted by these forces. It is the primary duty of each and every one of us to protect Rojava, the only place where there is hope for an honourable life, and not to leave our people here alone. On this basis, whatever the conditions, we will not remain silent in solidarity with our people in the 12th year of the revolution in the spirit of resistance."

The statement ended with applause.

AGIRÎ

DEM Party Agirî (Ağrı) Provincial Organization also made a statement in front of the party building. The statement was attended by provincial and district executives as well as many party members. Speaking at the statement, Party Executive Cengiz Elkatmış addressed the AKP-MHP government and said: "The AKP-MHP government should immediately give up its hostile attitude towards Kurdish gains. The hostile attitude towards Rojava must be abandoned. We repeat again and again from here; Manbij will not fall, Deir ez-Zor will not fall, Rojava will never fall."

The statement ended with the slogans "Bijî berxwedana Rojava (Long live resistance of Rojava)" and "Pressures cannot deter us".

SÊWEREG

DEM Party and DBP Sêwereg (Siverek) district organizations made a statement at Lezgo Park. Speaking at the statement, DEM Party Sêwereg District Co-Chair Ali Dusak reminded that after the attack launched by HTS against Aleppo on 26 November, attacks against the Autonomous Administration increased starting from Til Rifaat and Shahba. Emphasising that many citizens in the region were displaced, Dusak said: "Our people are being massacred by Turkish warplanes and UCAVs. Their goal is to advance towards Rojava."

The statement ended with the slogan "Bijî berxwedana Rojava".
