NEWS CENTER - It is learned that the access denied on Mezopotamya Agency's domain name was issued upon the request of Bitlis Provincial Gendarmerie Command.
Bitlis Criminal Judicature of Peace imposed an access denied on Mezopotamya Agency's (MA) domain name "mezopotamyaajansi40.com" on 27 December on the grounds of "protection of national security and public order". The court decision was notified to our Agency after the access denied.
The decision stated that Bitlis Provincial Gendarmerie Command applied to the court on 25 December and claimed that MA is "making illegal organization propaganda". The command requested an access deny on MA's domain name due to the aforementioned reason.
On 27 December, the court accepted the command's request and access denied to MA's domain name. However, the decision did not include any information on which news item or news reports led to the blocking of access to the domain name.
MA's lawyers will appeal against the decision to Tatvan Criminal Judgeship of Peace.
