ŞIRNEX- The delegation that went to Habur Border Gate to receive the bodies of journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin continues to wait.
A delegation of families and representatives of civil society organizations set off for the Federated Kurdistan Region to take the bodies of journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, who were killed in Turkey's UCAV attack. The delegation including Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Mêrdîn (Mardin) MP Kamuran Tanhan, Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG), Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD), representatives of civil society organizations and families went to Habur Border Gate in Silopi district of Şirnex (Şırnak) on January 6.
The delegation has been kept waiting at the border gate for more than a day on the grounds that there is no system. While the reactions to the delegation's waiting continued, the District Police Chief said, "It is not a problem for us, we are waiting for news from Ankara."
It is also noteworthy that Silopi District Police Chief and the riot police are present at the border gate.
