MERSİN - The protest of young people in Akdeniz against the trustee continued throughout the night.
Young people have been resisting against the appointment of trustees to Mersin Akdeniz Municipality for 7 days. In Yenipazar and Demirtaş neighbourhoods, young people protested against the trustee by lighting fires in the streets. While the police attacked the youth with gas bombs, the youth responded with fireworks, Molotovs and sound bombs.
The police raided some houses and threatened families. At least 10 people, including children, were detained.
