WAN - The vigil in front of Wan Metropolitan Municipality continued on its 3rd day destpite the cold. The municipality will organise a youth festival.
The vigil in front of the municipality against the sentence of 3 years and 9 months to Abdullah Zeydan, Co-mayor of Wan (Van) Metropolitan Municipality under the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) administration, continues on its 3rd day. The enthusiasm of the crowd did not stop despite cold. Young people kept halay for hours around the fire they lit. Many citizens continued their vigil on cardboard or chairs on the ground inside the municipality. Wan Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayors Neslihan Şedal and Abdullan Zeydan and Amed (Diyarbakır) Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Doğan Hatun also spent the morning chatting with the youth.
After the vigil until the wee small hours of the morning, breakfast was organised. Upon the request of the youth, it was decided to organise a youth festival in front of the municipality. It is learnt that local artists will take the stage. Co-mayors Neslihan Şedal and Abdullah Zeydan will also speak at the meeting. Various activites against the sentence will be organised in the neighbourhoods during the day.
