WAN - The people waiting day and night in front of the municipality entered the 4th day of the vigil. As the support for the vigil increased every day, especially on the 3rd day, the attendance to the vigil reached thousands.
After Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court sentenced Wan (Van) Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Abdullah Zeydan to 3 years and 9 months in prison "attempting to knowingly and willingly aiding a terrorist organization", the vigil in front of the municipality entered its 4th day. The people who have been waiting in front of the municipality day and night for three days continue to protect their will.
During the vigil, which is dominated by young people, people of all ages, from small children to 70-year-old citizens, come to the vigil and visit. Some on chairs, some in the tent, some by the fire, some in the masjid, some in the mosque, some with blankets and cardboard they spread on the ground, trying to get a short sleep.
While older citizens generally take part in the daytime vigil, young people take over the vigil in the evening. During the vigil, many artists took the stage and many people participated with different costumes. In the vigil action, where enthusiasm and excitement do not stop for a moment, the halay continues until 02.00 am. Explaining that thet believe that Wan will succeed once again, citizens give the message that they will stand by their will no matter what.
