WAN /MERSİN - Young people took to the streets in Wan and Mersin to protest the 15 February conspiracy and the appointment of a trustee to Wan Metropolitan Municipality.
Young people took to the streets against the trustee appointed to Wan (Van) Metropolitan Municipality and organised a protest with slogan "Bijî Serok Apo (Long live Leader Apo)". Young people took to the streets in many neighbourhoods, lit fires and set off fireworks.
The youth set up barricades by lighting fires in the streets and chanted slogans such as "Youth is the sacrifice of Rêber Apo", "We will destroy the world without Öcalan", "Bê Serok jiyan nabe (Without Leader there is no life)".
MERSIN
In Akdeniz district of Mersin, young people protested against the international conspiracy aganst PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the appointment of trustees to the Wan Metropolitan Municipality. Young people took to the streets in many neighbourhoods and lit fires. Chanting "Bijî Serok Apo" slogan, the youth responded to the police attack with fireworks, Molotovs and sound bombs.
The protesting youth said, "Those who appointed trustees to the will of Wan on 15 February, the anniversary of Leader Apo's brought to Turkey, should know that we will defend our will as we did in the 26-year Imrali resistance."
