HDP members who refused to be searched at check point, blocked the road

DIYARBAKIR - Party members gathered for HDP Diyarbakır Regional Conference blocked the road to traffic in response to the police who set up a search point in front of the hall where the conference would take place.
 
The police set up a search point at the entrance of the hall where the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır Regional Conference will be held. The party members gathered for the conference left the hall protesting the check point in response and blocked the  road to traffic.
 
Hundreds of party members, including HDP Spokesperson Ebru Günay, Women's council Spokesperson Ayşe Acar Başaran, HDP Vice Co-Chair Tayip Temel, were attacked by the police in front of the hall where the conference would take place. The police tear gassed the party members and detained HDP supporter Çekdar Budak. Party members continue to wait by the side of the road with the slogans "We will resist and we will win" and "Pressures cannot intimidate us". Members of the party want the point set up at the entrance of the conference hall to be removed.
