The statement said: "We reject the decision of the Van Provincial Election Board to give the mandate to the AKP candidate for the Van Metropolitan Municipality Mayorship, which our party won by a large margin with the majority of votes. This decision is the continuation of the political coup process initiated by the intervention of the government. The adjusted majority vote of the members of the Van Provincial Election Board The decision made by the President is unlawful, illegitimate, a decision not to recognize the will of the people. Our lawyers objected to the decision. We call on the Supreme Electoral Council to end this unlawfulness and recognize the will of our people. Our party, our members, our people are standing and our legitimate and democratic reaction will continue until this unlawfulness is eliminated. #CoupinVan "
