Abdullah Öcalan banned from family visits for 3 months

ISTANBUL - Abdullah Öcalan, who has not been heard from in Imrali Prison for 40 months, and 3 other prisoners have been given a new 3-month ban on family visits.   

 
It is learned that PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and prisoners Hamili Yıldırım, Ömer Hayri Konar and Veysi Aktaş, who have not been heard from for 40 months in Imrali Type F High Security Prison, were given a new 3-month ban on family visits. 
 
Bursa Execution Judgeship responded to the appeal of lawyers demanding family visits. The court stated that Abdullah Öcalan and other prisoners were given a new “disciplinary punishment” by the Disciplinary Board on July 4. 
 
The reason for the “disciplinary punishment” was not specified in the decision. The lawyers' demands for information and documents regarding the file were rejected. The lawyers will appeal against the “disciplinary punishment” to Bursa Heavy Penal Court.
