ANKARA - 10 of those detained through an Ankara based investigation were brought to Ankara for testify procedures.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, many people were detained yesterday in simultaneous house raids in several cities including Amed (Diyarbakır), Istanbul, Mêrdîn (Mardin), Şirnex (Şırnak) and Ankara.
Peyas (Kayapınar) Municipality co-mayor Cengiz Dündar, People's Equatliy and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Labour Commission Deputy Co-chair Sevtap Akdağ, One of the founders of Human Rights Association (İHD) Nimet Tanrıkulu, Remzi Çalışkan, Leyla Doğan, Şiar Rışvanoğlu, Erdal Güzel, Halef Caruş, Faruk Ayhan and Ecevit Odabaşı were brought to Ankara.
The detainees started to meet with their lawyers today after the restriction order on their case was lifted. Their testifies to the prosecutor's office are expected to be taken on Friday.
