The campaign was launched with a statement organized at DBP Amed (Diyarbakır) Provincial Organizationç DBP Amed Provincial Co-Chair Mehmet Şirin Gürbüz stated that there have been attacks on the Kurdish people's right to life and that the Turkey-backed SNA is the name and disguise of ISIS. Gürbüz addressed the AKP-MHP, which he stated interfered in the living space of the Kurdish people everywhere and said: "Give up the war policies and isolation policies that do not recognise the reight to life of the Kurdish people. The images in the media are really exemplary. We are faced with a mentality hostile to women, land and humanitiy."
'WE WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT'
Expressing that they see the attacks on Rojava and Kurdish regions as attacks on Amed, Gürbüz said: "As the people of Amed and Kurdistan, we want to express that we do not and will not remain silent about such attacks. We demand that the isolation in İmralı must end, negotiations must be held with Mr Abdullah Öcalan to ensure peaceful living conditions and negotiations must be held and his proposals must be taken even".
SOLIDARITY WITH KOBANÊ SPIRIT
Calling on everyone to support the aid campaign to be launched, Gürbüz continued as follows: "Let's give strength to the aid and support campaigns to be launched. Just as in the spirit of Kobanê, all the peoples showed all their efforts and endeavours and did not leave the Kurdish people alone there, today once again the people of Rojava are expecting help and support from the people of Kurdistan, the rights of Turkey and all people. The hand to be extended is the hand of brotherhood, every hand to be extended is the hand extended to humanity."
