2025 Newroz slogan announced

AMED - This year's slogan of the Newroz has been determined as "Rêbertiya Azad Civaka Demokratîk / Democratic Society Newroz for Freedom".

 
Newroz will be celebrated in at least 89 central locations this year. The celebrations will start on 11 March with a declaration in Amed (Diyarbakır) and Istanbul. Then, on 12 March, the first Newroz fire will be lit in Licê (Lice) district of Amed. 
 
This year's slogan for the celebrations has also been announced. The Newroz Organising Committee has determined this year's slogan as "Rêbertiya Azad Civaka Demokratîk/Democratic Society Newroz for Freedom". The slogan refers to the call announced by Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 27 February.
