ŞIRNEX - It was learned that pressure was put on the village guards in the villages of Qileban to participate in the ongoing attacks in Zap.

 

Turkey's attacks on the Zap, Metina and Avaşin regions in the Federated Kurdistan Region, in cooperation with the KDP, continue. While it was stated that there were preparations for a more comprehensive attack in the summer months, it was learned that pressure was put on the village guards in the border cities to take part in the attacks.

 

It was learned that the village guards in Herdîş (Dağdibi), Mêrgeh (Yemişli), Elemûn (Andaç), Bêjûh (Gülyazı) and Kiror (Ortabağ) villages of Şirnex's Qileban (Uludere) district were given instructions to participate in the attacks in Zap. It was recorded that some village guards opposed the instructions of the military authorities and said: "We will not go on the operation." It was stated that the guards who did not participate in the operation were threatened by saying, "your weapons will be confiscated".
